Overview
When you make changes to your server configuration, you typically need to restart the server for those changes to take effect. This guide explains when and how to apply changes.
When to Restart
Restart your server after:
- Changing startup variables
- Modifying configuration files
- Installing or removing mods
- Changing the scenario/mission
- Updating server name or password
Changes That Take Effect Immediately
Some changes apply without restart:
- Console commands (while server is running)
- Player kicks/bans via Player Manager
- Some plugin configurations
How to Restart
